What is it good for?

An IPv6-only VPS is a good fit when your public traffic already goes through an IPv4 frontend (reverse proxy, load balancer, VPN) - or when workloads stay internal.

  • Public web servers where most visitors are on IPv4-only (many mobile carriers, hotels and corporate networks still expose IPv4 only)
  • Inbound mail server (MX) - third-party SMTP relays still favor IPv4 and IPv6 PTR is not guaranteed on Free Pro upstream
  • Mainstream game servers (Minecraft, etc.) - most players only have IPv4

What is an IPv6-only VPS?
A VPS with a dedicated IPv6 address and no public IPv4. Since IPv4 addresses are scarce and costly, dropping them makes the VPS cheaper.
Is my use case compatible?
Perfect for IPv6-ready services (web behind a proxy, modern apps, dev, CI). Some IPv4-only external services may need a gateway. Need IPv4 too? See our dual-stack VPS.
Can I connect from an IPv4 network?
You need IPv6 on the client side, or a tunnel/proxy. Most recent connections already support IPv6.
Why is it cheaper?
IPv4 addresses are a scarce, costly resource. Without IPv4, we pass the saving on to you.
Can I switch to dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6)?
